CPU and Memory constantly over 80% usage

I have a Sonicwall TZ670 connected to a Sonicwall SWS12-10FPOE switch. Both cpu and memory is constantly over 80% utilization 24 hours day. I typically don't see switches with this high resource utilization during normal operations. Is the high resource utilization normal for this switch?

    Hi @RichardH ,

Could you unplug Port 10 cable and check the cpu and memory again.

I thing, on the Port 10 PC or Server is a problem.

  • @MitatOnge This is a home network with 2 users. I am running beta firmware 7.0.1 on the Sonicwall TZ670, but the switch memory and cpu utilization has been very high since installing it about 6 months ago.

    Here is the configuration

    • Port 10 is both switch management and uplink connected to Sonicwall TZ670.
    • Port 1 = Wireless AP #1
    • Port 2 = Apple TV
    • Port 3 = Wireless AP #2
    • Port 4 = Printer
    • Port 5 = Sonos Speaker

    Hi @RichardH

Remove all connected cables expect the up-link cable. Then connect back one by one and observe the CPU & Memory usage.

    Suspecting loop or faulty cable.
