Sonicwall firewalls and STP (Spanning Tree Protocol)

Hi!

A customer of us wants to do this LAN topology.

Switches support STP. What about Sonicwall Firewalls?

In case firewalls does not support STP, I suppose it is going to be "transparent" and just switch "A" and "B" are going to decide what switch port to put in "blocking" state for STP.

So, the big question is, does Sonicwall firewalls support STP?

Thanks!

  • Hi @SEBASTIAN,

Thank you for visiting SonicWall Community.

AFAIK, SonicWall is capable of passing the STP and its various type traffics but firewall itself doesn't support STP as a core feature.

    Hope this helps.
