Unable to establish an FTP client connection

Trying to run export current-config cli
via the CLI gives me:
% Error: Unable to establish an FTP client connection to ... % Error: Please verify connectivity and that the FTP username, password and filename are correct.
I have verified the details multiple times and checked with ftp
and it works fine.
Is this just broken?

I identified the issue: The unreachable FTP server was on an external network, when I tried an FTP server on an internal network it worked. It would be nice if this were documented somewhere 😔

Hi @DAVETAPLEY,
Thank you for visiting SonicWall Community.
I tested this on one of my lab firewalls TZ 500 running on 6.5.4.7 firmware version and found that this works. Could you please let me know your firewall model and firmware version?
