SMA query

Hi Team,

Greetings!

Now in our Sonicwall Appliance SSL Protocol selected in SSL Setting is TLS Version 1.2 or 1.1

Its working fine for all of the users

If we change the protocol to TLS Version 1.2 only, then what impact will users face while connecting Sonicwall VPN.

As Example if we change to TLS Version 1.2 Only

1. Will Windows 7 and 8 users will able to connect VPN?

2. Older Version Client (below 12.30.727) will work or not in it as some of our users still using older client

3. Also any other impact.

    Hi @Ninad94

Any client not capable of using TLS1.2 would not be able to open a VPN.

If you look at Internet Options you can see whether that PC can use TLS1.2.

If the SMA only allows TLS 1.2 (or TLS1.3 in 12.4 with best security) any user system not capable of using TLS1.2, or where TLS1.2 is disabled in the Internet Options, will not be able to login and use the VPN.
