GVC VPN issue

We have one website which has hosted in our internal web server. When VPN user who connected to GVC try to nslookup this website its resolved with internal IP address. but when we try to ping this website its resolved in internet IP address and also when I tried to access this website through browser the traffic for this website is flowing through internet.

Is this a normal behavior or i have to do some setting in VPN to access route this website traffic through VPN

  • Hi @NINAD94,

This should be purely based on the DNS server addresses used on the GVC client machine. Are you using GVC Route All or Split Tunnel? Please ensure the DNS server addresses used on the DHCP scope meant for GVC users are set with internal DNS server addresses.

HTH. Let us know if any questions.

    Hi @Saravanan

We have configured GVC is split tunnel mode and we have used our internal DNS server address for GVC client users.

  • @NINAD94 - Thanks for your update. Could you please try below steps,

    • Clear the DNS cache on the GVC client PC from cmd prompt using the command "ipconfig /flushdns" try to query your internal website.
    • Establish the GVC connection on the client PC.
    • Do a nslookup on the GVC client PC from cmd prompt for the internal server's domain name.
    • Please perform a packet capture based on the GVC client PC's IP address as source to trace out and isolate the issue.

Let us know how it goes. Have a good one.
