Characters for Record ID and Dictionary

Hello, when creating custom record ID's or Dictionary is it possible to use special characters such as '<', it seems to get converted to '&lt' and ass such does then not pattern patch when applied through a filter. Wondering if anyone has come across this before an knows away around it such as using an alternate format to represent the character

    I can confirm that we don’t support special characters such as ‘<’ so these cannot be used in the pattern match, neither can their ASCII or Base64 alternate codes. A feature request has been submitted into the PM and Dev team to investigate this further.
