About replace "NSA2600 single ( OS 6.5.4)" to "NSA2700 HA (OS 7.0)"

Hi there.

I'm a beginner with SonicWall, but there is little information in the Japanese community, so I would like to ask for everyone's help. I am currently using an NSA2600 in a single configuration, and I plan to replace it with an NSA2700 in an HA configuration.

I understand that simply importing the config file from forums is not enough, and that I need to use a migration tool, as well as the fact that compatibility may vary depending on the OS versions before and after the migration.

However, is it possible to set up the HA configuration while maintaining the existing settings when migrating from single to HA?

I apologize for any awkward English as I’m using a translation tool.

I’m looking forward to responses from anyone who has had a similar experience

As a premise, I am aware that using the migration tool is necessary to convert configuration files from the 6th generation to the 7th generation. However, are there any other points I should be aware of?

    Thank you.

I had already found and reviewed the provided URL in advance, but I am still unsure how it will actually behave, so I asked the question just to be sure.

I would like to apply the configuration to the NSA2700 and verify it myself!

    I have another question.

I want to use the Migration Tool to convert the configuration of the NSa2600 (current version SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.4.11-97n) to the NSa270. However, I need to specify the target version. Currently, my NSa2700 is on version 7.0.1-5111, and the target versions specified by the Migration Tool are 7.1.1-7058, 7.0.1-5145, and 7.0.1-5119.

In this case, it seems that a firmware update for the NSa2700 will be necessary, but when I access the SonicWall download center to view the firmware list, I am unable to download anything (only the release notes are available for download). Does this mean that I need to register the product on MySonicWall?

Also, if I am starting from version 7.0.1-5111, would it be acceptable to use a maintenance release version?

@Siuren the NSa 2700 has to be registered with MySonicWall, then you should just follow the steps I mentioned above. -5145 is the way to go for using the Migration Tool, then update to -5161 after migrating the settings.

If your appliance is registered and download is still not possible contact Customer Support. I checked on my account and -5145 is available for download.
