April, 18, 2024 Hotfix notes?

I see hot-fix 10.0.29.7965 for the ES5000 has been published, but there are no notes as to what this hot-fix addresses. Is it critical to update the appliance immediately with this, or is it okay to hold off?

It's unfortunate that there are no Release Notes linked with the Firmware. But it's the same version running on HES and it contains some fixes related to AV Engines. Official Release Notes are mandatory, IMHO.

I'am running it myself without new issues and gave a green light for my customers to deploy it.

My apologies I was not thorough in reading your original post. Theres a hotfix addressing a memory leak in firewalls recently made available. I do not know what the hotfix for the ES series is for.

I came here to ask the same question… It's annoying when I get an e-mail telling me about a new release but there are no release notes available. I'm not installing anything unless it's already broken or I know why I'm doing it.

Thanks. I guess since it hasn't been pulled yet, I'll go ahead and take the plunge. But yeah, I'm getting really tired of them not telling us why we should install it, or if there are any reasons we might not want to. Especially when they've been known to put out fixes and then pull them.
