Tech Tip: Where can I find the product model and serial number for my Firewall?

SonicWall hardware has a tag that will display the model number of your firewall product. The tag will be located on the front of your device usually in the bottom left or the upper right of your product seen in the attached product pictures below.
Serial Number
All SonicWall hardware has a tag that will display the serial number. The tag should be on the bottom or back of the device, depending on the exact model. You can also use the MySonicWall page see https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/where-can-i-find-my-sonicwall-s-serial-number/170811104130826/

And if the appliance is not physically close to you, just log into the Management and check unter Monitor -> System Status, when deploying a new appliance I'll never check with the tags.
The System Status is especially useful if you have imported a configuration from a different machine, the S/N setting gets replaced with the one from the imported configuration under VPN and administration.

Hi All,
Just to bring awareness of some special cases on this topic.
You can also see the serial # asa you connected to your ssh terminal, you will see username@serial#. However, please mind that in order to confirm what you are looking at (which is Unique Firewall identifier) is actual the serial # of your firewall, just type 'show version' and look for serial-number line in the output to confirm as same as what you see after logging in to (e)cli. If prefs were imported from another firewall, most likely this won't match as what you see once you login is actually: username@UFI.
You can override/overwrite your UFI under VPN>Settings>UFI legacy GUI, however, please mind that this can be referenced in various places such as VPN policies SAs, TI, where IKE ID choice was Firewall Identifier. (if this was used on your machine that would be under local IKE ID and if on the peer/remote that would be under Peer IKE ID).
Hope you find this informative.
