[Analytics shows NSa 2700 Down]

Hi all,

I am running SonicWall Analytics 2.5 (Build: 2519.2000) and it is configured to receive logs from the NSa 2700 firewall.

I notice that the Status changes from Up to Down from time to time.

I have checked the NSa 2700 settings as per knowledge base (https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/syslog-based-analytics-showing-gen7-firewalls-down/210601200043787/) and the logging level is set Inform.

The status message in a Syslog based system relies on Analytics receiving the Connection Closed message from the firewall.

If these messages are not currently being received from the firewall, the status will show as "Down".

In addition, the Connection Closed messages are also responsible for populating the reports under the Data Usage section.

So, you may be able to confirm the status is correct if reports under the Data Usage section are not populated with current data.
