Should I update the firmware on my SonicWall TZ600?

Currently, I am using the SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.4.5-53n firmware on my SonicWall TZ600. What is the latest officially released firmware? Should I update my firmware or not? If I update my firmware will there be any changes to my configuration and all existing settings?

Hello @samaj,
The latest web posted firmware is 6.5.4.7-83n. Due to vulnerability CVE-2020-5135, it is recommended to upgrade to this version. You can read more about it on the link below.
Also, you can boot with the current settings and that should not affect anything that you have configured at the moment. Please follow the KB link below for upgrade.

Hi @SAMAJ,
Yes you may upgrade to 6.5.4.7 firmware version to overcome the recent vulnerability impacts on the firewall. There wont be any changes to your existing configuration on the firewall and just the OS gets updated. The config remains same as it is.

I have a TZ400W and can't find the firmware to download. I'm jumping about 6 years of updates. Is that ok?
