TZ500 won't see 14-48 switch

I am running SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.4.9-93n on the TZ 500. Working with support, they have been unable to get the switch accessible in Switch Controller. The switch doesn't appear. I had X2 connected to port 1.

They did try adding the switch but that did not mount the switch.

Is there any preemptive mods that need to be made in order for this to work?

They suggested I seek professional services.

    Well I noticed in the Quick Start Guide that the referenced a check box for Enable Auto Discovery of SonicWall Switches.

    This is located when configuring the interface on the Firewall TZ500. I wasn't seeing it on the interface that was created when I first started working with support. Having noticed it today, I contacted support and asked why I wasn't seeing that checkbox. When He recreated the interface, there it was. Once checked, the switch appeared.
