Hosted Email Security or another cloud-based email security platform?
Thinking of switching to SonicWall's Hosted Email Security from an on-premise virtual appliance. We have Office 365 and are currently receiving random spam that's not being caught. Good idea to move to SonicWall HES or go to another cloud-based email security platform?
Thanks!

Hi @MicahV
HES is going to behave similarly to your on-prem device in the way it handles spam which, in turn, is largely dependent upon your settings. The upshot to HES over an on-prem appliance is that it typically gets updates to the spam thumbprint database before other non-Hosted customers do. The benefit of that is that spamming campaigns are shut down more quickly than they are with on-prem devices. Lastly, there’s no email security solution that will prevent 100% of spam 100% of the time.
We also have a new cloud application for email called Cloud App Security – SaaS which functions a bit differently than HES but is just as effective (maybe more) and works seamlessly with O365.
