I have a new NSa 4700 that I installed the middle of August and about evey two weeks randomly freezes. You can't ping or access the firewall from the browser. It is on FW 7.0.1-5019. I'm using the 6 10GB SFP + ports with SW 10 GBt SFP + modules. The link lights are on but show no blinking activity on them when it freezes.

Do you have SonicWall switches connected to your 4700? I have seen something similar on the NSA-3700. It is currently under investigation by SonicWall. I have a gut feeling it is related to interaction with the switches that are being managed from the 3700. I have also seen variations if the issue in several previous versions of firmware. I believe it has become more stable with each new firmware release. If you are running SW switches, be certain the switch firmware is the latest available too.
I expect that SonicWall will have this resolved soon.
Thanks for the reply. My problem was actually the bug that was fixed in the latest FW. The bug was when the SW was connected to a UPS and the power went out the firewall would freeze up. The latest FW has fixed my problem.
