Hello

im trying to block some sites for Active directory user but its not blocked

every thing are good my devices already linked with active directory and the user imported to my users and group

when apply the same filter profile in the zone then the sites blocked but when specify the user which the PC joined to the domain the policy does not apply

is the SonicWALL device can detect if the machine logged to specific user?

is i have to do some configuration to allow SonicWALL to know the specific user using specific machine?

Hello @abdo,

You would need to have SSO agent installed and configured on the firewall so that it can identify which user is logged into what machine and apply the filters based on the username field.

are we can do that with Application controll with out SSO?

@abdo,

For any user-based policy, the firewall needs to know the IP to user binding, so SSO will be necessary irrespective of the kind of security service in question.
