Autologin to Sonicwall Connect Tunnel at Windows login.

in VPN Client

I have a small number of Windows 10 laptops which have a managed desktop installed. We require them to be connected to the SonicWall Secure Mobile Access | Connect Tunnel at all times. The users of the laptops are required to logout of their laptops at the end of the day, is there anyway to setup VPN auto connect as a service to automatically login to the VPN when logging into their Managed desktop Windows accounts?


Any assistance appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply however we are using SMA 1000 series (6210) which did not appear on the list as compatible with Netextender.

    Hi @Chris

    You can achieve this functionality with Connect Tunnel client in 12.4.1 in 2 ways:

    1. In management console, enable "Always-On VPN" under the community settings. This makes CT client to automatically connect on Windows logon. End-users will not be able to disconnect from VPN.
    2. If "Always-On VPN" is not enabled, then end-users can enable "Connect automatically at Windows logon" in client settings. This enables CT to automatically connect on Windows logon. But end-users will be able to disconnect from VPN.

    If VPN is required before Windows Logon, you can explore Device VPN as well.
