Mobile broadband connection on NSA 2700 for Internet failover
Hi,
I have an NSA 2700 that i would like to use a broadband modem for failover Internet connection. When I look at the article that tells which devices are supported (https://community.sonicwall.com/technology-and-support/home/leaving?allowTrusted=1&target=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.sonicwall.com%2Fsupport%2Fknowledge-base%2Fwhat-wireless-cards-and-usb-broadband-modems-are-supported-on-firewalls-and-access-points%2F170505473051240%2F) it lists devices that are very old and in most cases, are not even available anymore. Can anyone tell me if they have used a usb modem on the NSA 2700 for failover connectivity, and which device did you use? Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi @westtechllc
I used Huawei E8372 E8372h-320 4G LTE USB Modem. (up to DL 150 Mbps/s/UL:50 Mbps).
Hi @westtechllc , in my exerience it is best to use a third party modem for the 4G where you can insert the sim directly and set this up as an additional WAN Interface on the SonicWall, it also gives you the benfit of being able to use an external antenna if need for better coverage
Thank you all for your insight. We decided to use a hard wired connection (AT&T Uverse) instead. It gives me plenty of bandwidth for emergency failover use and cost about the same as a cellular modem data plan. Thank you all for the replies.
