Install 2 SSL Certificates

Is it possible on a Sonicwall to install a certificate for the WAN interface and a difference cert for the LAN? If so, how do you assign which is which?

    Hi @shultis

if you mean for the management then the answer is no. You can assign one cert for the management regardless of the interface/zone. And another cert for SSL-VPN.

I usually issue certs from my internal CA with a bunch of SNI, so I can access without any warnings by IP address or names (internal or external ones). Certs can be deployed by GPO, CaptureClients or any other way you like. This does the trick for me.

  • Hi @SHULTIS,

You can install multiple certificates on the SonicWall, but as far as its management is considered only one certificate can be called for use. The recommended would be for WAN management if you have enabled else, certificate meant for LAN can be used.
