Why is firewall name not in page title any more?

ArkwrightArkwright All-Knowing Sage ✭✭✭✭

Gen6 firewalls sensibly had the firewall name [or serial number if unset] in the page title.

This was useful for two reasons:

  • If you have multiple firewalls open in different tabs, you can distinguish them by name
  • If you know the firewall name and start searching for it in the omnibar, it will come up [as it is searching your history]

Please could this useful feature be reinstated on Gen7. Having loads of tabs open called "Firewall Management" makes my life harder for no obvious benefit.

    +1 for this.

    Very annoying.

    Hmm...

Didn't notice this shortcoming of Gen 7 devices. But now that I do, I can see how it could be annoying.

More than likely it was omitted because the thought-process was that everyone would be using NSM to manage their fleet. And NSM, by its very implementation, prevents multiple devices from being open in browser tabs or windows.

    Keeps being boundless...
