SSL error happened, your OS may not support connecting to the server - Windows Server 2012 R2

I am trying to use latest Netextender Setup and then also tried using old version 9.0.274 but I get this error:

If I try to install more older versions like 7.5 then I get damaged version installed error. I am on Windows Server 2012 R2 and have all updates installed. What should have been a simple process have not wasted my 2 days. Is there any workaround for this or using Netextender would mean I need to change my OS 😀

    What SSL certificate are you using on the Sonicwall side? That is what the error message is referring to, not Server 2012.
